Exercise Scientist Role

The role involves client training supervision and strength assessment in a science-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting 1:1 and group training sessions, strength assessments, and movement analysis with clients on the training floor.
  • Applying scientific concepts such as biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, and motor control to support clients.
  • Providing evidence-based advice on health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance.
  • Developing and implementing exercise prescriptions and plans for clients.
  • Establishing, assessing, and reassessing goals for new and long-term clients.
  • Guiding athletes or clients to achieve peak performance and recover from injury.
  • Completing administrative duties.
  • Delivering high-quality service in accordance with professional standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Exercise/Sports Science or related discipline with at least two units completed in Physiology & Anatomy, Biomechanics/Human Movement, or Exercise Programming/Prescription, or currently undertaking third year or higher in Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
  • Relevant placement/practicum experience in Exercise Prescription.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Check.
  • Desirable: 1-3 years relevant work experience, private practice experience, and experience in long-term client management in strength training.
