We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our culinary team as a Centre Cook.
About the Role
- This is an exciting opportunity to become a valued member of our community, working closely with children and their families to create healthy and delicious meals.
- You will be responsible for preparing meals that cater to special dietary requirements and allergies, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare menus in consultation with our Centre Director, taking into account the needs and preferences of our children and families.
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and handling to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with our Centre Director to source high-quality ingredients and supplies, optimizing our purchasing power and reducing waste.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience in a childcare setting.
- Current VIC Working with Children Check.
