Job Title: Food Services Professional

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Food Services Professional.

About the Role

This role involves assisting with the distribution and collection of customer menus, food trays, and beverages, as well as basic food preparation. You will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness within the department in line with required food safety, infection control, and hospital standards.

You will offer high standards of quality and service to customers and patients while working closely with a positive and respected team under the supervision of the Catering Manager.

About You

You will have a high attention to detail and work effectively in a team or independently as required in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to prioritise tasks effectively will assist you with your excellent time management skills.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a prep kitchen or hospital environment is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety, and Workplace Health and Safety.
  • A Certificate III in Health Support Services and Food Handling Certificate are highly desirable for this role.
  • Knowledge of food allergies and special diets would be helpful.
  • The ability to work morning, afternoon, weekend, and public holiday shifts.

Requirements

  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19 using a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.
  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • According to the role, we may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
