About the Role

The Head of Enterprise Services Application & Architecture will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in running and optimizing applications related to Group Services and ME Bank operations. This position requires at least 15+ years of experience in banking operations, modern technology trends, and a proven track record in running, architecting, migrating, and implementing a materially significant transformation in the Enterprise domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Application Platforms
    • Ensure seamless integration, performance, and security of relevant applications, aligning with the bank's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of application platforms.
    • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of all applications.
    • Manage the lifecycle of applications, including upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Architecture Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and maintain a medium and long-term architecture vision and roadmap for the Enterprise Services domain applications and systems, in the context of disputive changes in technology solutions, aligned with the organization's business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with the executive team and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into next-generation technical requirements and architectural designs.
    • Establish and communicate architectural guidelines, principles, and best practices to ensure consistent and standardized solutions and architecturally aligned programs.
  • ERP & Group Services Systems Design
    • Lead the design and evaluation of Group Services systems, including but not limited to General ledger, Human resources, risk management, and regulatory reporting platforms, and integration with third-party services.
    • Analyse existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement, system consolidation, decommissioning, and optimization of processes.
  • Technology Innovation
    • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends, industry standards, and emerging innovations in the banking sector, including AI/advanced algorithms.
    • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices to enhance the organization's banking capabilities and user experience.
  • Security and Compliance
    • Ensure the architecture of Group Services systems complies with relevant security standards, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with the security and compliance teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
    • Ensure all applications comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

About You

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on ERP systems and architecture. They will have a proven track record as an enterprise and solution architect or a similar leadership role, overseeing complex architecture designs and implementations. In-depth knowledge of integration into various banking technologies, such as transaction processing systems, databases, APIs, cloud services, etc., is required. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including but not limited to PCI DSS, GDPR, and SOX, is also necessary.
