Job Title: Home Support Worker

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan, assisting with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • The successful candidate will also provide transportation assistance to clients and respite care to clients and their families.
  • A high level of organisation is required to keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Effective communication is essential to communicate with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support (or higher) and/or willingness to work towards completion highly regarded.
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines is crucial for this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build relationships with clients and their families.
