Personal Support Worker Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Personal Support Worker. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients, providing person-focused support and empowering them to live accessible, equitable, and empowered lives.


About the Role

This is a unique chance to work closely with individuals who have acquired spinal cord injuries, assisting them with daily living tasks and promoting their independence. As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care, including transfers, grooming, bathing, dressing, and dental hygiene
  • Assisting with basic wound care and self-medication
  • Supporting with domestic duties, meal preparation, and laundry
  • Facilitating community access, including driving to appointments and social activities

Your Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be expected to maintain high standards of care and adhere to our organizational policies and procedures. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a compassionate and empathetic individual with excellent listening skills
  • Has experience working with vulnerable populations or holds relevant qualifications (training provided)
  • Can work a fixed fortnightly roster, including morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts
  • Hold a current driver's license and has a reliable vehicle
  • Is willing to obtain an NDIS Workers Screening Card and Blue Card
