About the Role

In this newly created position as a Cyber Security Analyst within our Information Technology team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and data by implementing and maintaining robust security practices.

Based out of our main facility, your responsibilities will include reviewing computer networks and identifying any potential vulnerabilities, installing the necessary software to protect it from unauthorized access, and documenting detections so that future breaches can be mitigated efficiently.

Ultimately, you will defend Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group systems from theft, loss, and other cyberattacks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze computer networks to identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Implement and maintain robust security practices to protect against unauthorized access
  • Document detections to mitigate future breaches
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of security measures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst (or similar)
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDPS) concepts
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational and self-leadership skills and an understanding of project management methodologies
  • Hold some form of cybersecurity accreditation (e.g. CEH, CISM, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+)
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Cyber Security, or a related field, or significant relevant information security experience
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
