We are seeking a seasoned HRIS Business Analyst to spearhead our transformation project.

About the Opportunity:
  • This pivotal role is based in our North Sydney office
  • This is a fixed-term, 12-month contract opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for HRIS and payroll, conducting gap analysis and recommending process improvements for HR and payroll, supporting replatforming of Time and Attendance and other HRIS components, facilitating workshops to define workflows, user stories, and integration needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards, collaborating with vendors and internal teams for solution validation and UAT support, and providing ongoing support in change management and system adoption.

Key Responsibilities and Experience:
  • Gather and document business and functional requirements for HRIS and payroll
  • Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements for HR and payroll
  • Support replatforming of Time and Attendance and other HRIS components
  • Facilitate workshops to define workflows, user stories, and integration needs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for solution validation and UAT support
  • Provide ongoing support in change management and system adoption

Requirements:
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst in HRIS projects
• Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll, and system integrations
• Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
• Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Business Analysis Certification (CBAP, CCBA) is a plus
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies is highly regarded for process optimisation work
