Job Title: Support Officer for Student Health and Wellbeing

The role of a School Learning Support Officer (Student Health Support) is to provide support for students with diverse learning needs, including disability, in classrooms and other learning environments. This support is provided under the direction and supervision of a teacher to ensure the achievement of educational outcomes.

The main focus of this role is to perform health support as required so that students can participate in and access educational programs. This involves working effectively as part of a team, communicating with students and staff, and being aware of the needs of students with emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities.

This role requires the ability to work with students who have emotional, physical or intellectual disabilities. It also requires effective communication skills, the ability to work with students in different learning environments, and an awareness of the needs of students with disabilities.
