Key Responsibilities

  • To build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to promote a culture of high expectations and achievement.
  • To manage and allocate resources effectively to support teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capacity to balance the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher and middle leadership in a highly complex school environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and support a team through change by using evidence-based practices to promote improved student outcomes.
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies.
