We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Advanced Computer Clerk to join our team in Perioperative Services.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless booking of patients for procedures. You will deliver high standards of customer service for our patients, family members, nursing staff, and medical officers.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Performing administrative duties, and data entry into our Patient Administrative System (PAS)
- Liaising with doctor's rooms and nursing staff to ensure correct patient and procedure details are obtained
- Answering telephones and ensuring accurate recording and delivery of messages
- Responding quickly to emergency situations, ensuring correct personnel are contacted
Requirements include:
- Proven clerical experience, hospital setting desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- A positive attitude and adaptability to change within an evolving service
- Excellent communication and time management skills and working respectfully within a team environment
Our department supports over 1800 operations each month, offering a supportive role where our friendly team works closely to achieve high standards of administrative work and data entry.
Located in a state-of-the-art facility, we offer a large focus on the Booking of Elective Surgery patients into our Administration System to ensure our patients are ready for their procedures.
