SAP BTP Integration Professional

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to design, develop, implement, support, and maintain robust integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end-to-end integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Implement various integration patterns and utilize adapters such as OData, SOAP, REST, SFTP, JDBC, IDoc, and others as required.
• Develop custom scripts for complex data mappings, transformations, validations, error handling, and business logic within integration flows.
• Work with various message formats including XML, JSON, CSV, and flat files.

Technical Leadership & Best Practices:

• Promote and enforce best practices for integration development, security, performance, and monitoring within the SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration methodologies and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of integration solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to recurring problems.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing integration landscapes.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

• Closely collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, SAP module experts, and external system owners to gather requirements and define integration specifications.
• Translate business requirements into technical integration designs.
• Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Document integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

Security & Compliance:

• Evaluate all integration solutions against security best practices and company compliance policies.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, including design, development, deployment, and monitoring of integration iFlows.
• Strong proficiency in scripting for developing custom logic, data manipulation, and enhancing integration scenarios within SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Solid understanding of various integration patterns and protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, AMQP, JMS).
• Experience with API management principles and tools.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC/S/4HANA integration points and data models (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs).
• Proficiency in working with different data formats (XML, JSON, CSV, Flat Files).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience in Application Support and Maintenance projects with understanding of ITSM processes including Incident and Change Management

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with other SAP BTP services (e.g., CAP, BAS, Event Mesh, Workflow, Business Rules).
• Experience with other SAP Integration Toolsets like SAP PI.
• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, Performance Forms.
• Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration development.
• SAP certifications related to integration or SAP BTP.
