SAP BTP Integration Specialist

Being a division in Toll Group, Toll Government & Defence provides specialised logistics services across warehousing and distribution, relocation services and outsourced sourcing and procurement services.

The Role

Join our innovative IT team as a skilled SAP BTP EDI Developer, where you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions using the BTP Integration Platform. This position involves close collaboration with both business users and technical teams to deliver streamlined data exchange solutions that enable seamless communication between internal systems and external trading partners.

To be successful as a SAP BTP Integration Specialist, you will need to:

  • Design, develop and implement EDI solutions using the BTP Integration Platform, including mappings, transformations and communication protocols such as AS2 and sFTP.
  • Configure and manage various EDI document types (X12, EDIFACT, API) to support integration across business systems and external partners.
  • Ensure integration processes are automated, secure and reliable, with appropriate error handling and performance optimisation.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Participate in testing phases including SIT and UAT, provide post-production support, and manage upgrades and support packs.
  • Maintain documentation of integration processes and stay current with best practices in EDI, BTP and related technologies.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Business or a related discipline
  • Certifications in BTP or relevant integration platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration solutions is bonus

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as an EDI Developer with expertise in BTP Integration Platform, including development of services and use of BTP EDI Adapter.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols such as X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, AS2, FTP and SFTP.
  • Familiarity with Trading Partner Management (TPM), Managed File Transfer (MFT), B2B integrations and basic SAP ERP data mapping.
  • Proficient in working with oDATA, IDOCs, XML, XSLT, web services (SOAP/REST), and SQL for data handling.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in both support and project environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
