Logistics Supervisor Role

This leadership position offers an opportunity to drive the management of heritage logistics and coordinate a team of Cultural Heritage Fieldwork Program Coordinators.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all logistical requirements are effectively delivered to support heritage fieldwork programs.

  • Drive management of heritage accommodation and travel demand across FIFO camps and support coordinators to ensure heritage fieldwork requirements are prioritised and met, including short term logistics requirements for heritage fieldwork program
  • Escalation and resolution pathways with accommodation constraints that impact heritage fieldwork surveys
  • Identify trends in cultural heritage accommodation no-shows, unexpected arrivals, non-departures and similar, and escalate for resolution
  • Manage early forecasting of vehicle demand and heritage survey demand to escalate periods of HLA constraints
  • Enable reporting of CMS monthly hours reporting for Traditional Owner Partnerships team
  • Support the team to ensure the C7 aviation standards are followed for helicopter assisted surveys
  • Ensure C7 annual reporting of usage and annual audits to review operational standards of contracting companies is completed to align with C7 aviation standards
  • Coach and mentor the Heritage coordinators team
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and policies, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of best practices

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, organisational skills and excellent communication skills. They will also have experience in stakeholder engagement, solid understanding of safety protocols and practices, and the ability to distil information into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
