The role of a Native Title Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation of Aboriginal cultural heritage and Native Title Agreement commitments across Australian operations. This individual plays a key role in fostering long-term relationships with Traditional Owners, engaging in heritage assessments, and survey requests while ensuring compliance with standards, agreements, and legislation.

  • Manage heritage data at the Kalgoorlie Production Centre, supporting cultural heritage surveys and implementing Native Title commitments.">
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and Traditional Owners to facilitate heritage assessments and survey requests, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon standards and legislation.">
  • Provide strategic advice on cultural heritage management, Traditional Owner engagement, and community development, serving as a senior liaison for day-to-day interactions between the Company and Traditional Owners.">
  • Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with Traditional Owners, ensuring Free, Prior and Informed Consent for Company activities.">
  • Support regulatory and approval submissions through effective stakeholder engagement planning, fostering community relationships to achieve social performance objectives.">
  • Collaborate with the Heritage Coordinator – Kalgoorlie, providing direction and support while assisting in developing management plans and proposals in consultation with Traditional Owner groups.">

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in community development, cultural heritage, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within the resources sector.">
  • Proven ability to maintain positive relationships in complex environments, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities.">
