Progress Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Student Progress Adviser. As a Student Progress Adviser, you will support students with proactive, personalized academic intervention, progression advice, and academic support.
You will work closely with students to set academic goals, advise on their performance and future study plans, and participate or host academic support webinars. You will also maintain comprehensive interview notes and up-to-date records of students' academic progression, intervention, and academic standing interviews across UNSW College cohorts.
- Utilize UNSW and UNSW College systems, teacher feedback, and relevant student performance data to deliver efficient and effective interventions to students at academic risk in all UNSW College programs.
- Deliver interviews for students at risk of exclusion from their course of study due to failure to maintain satisfactory attendance.
- Deliver student webinars, seminars, and support modules which advise students on a range of progress matters including but not limited to academic improvement strategies, progress supports, transition to UNSW and College pathway options.
The successful applicant will have:
- An understanding of Higher Education environments and study options.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. education, social work, welfare) or relevant experience in a Higher Education setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels and work effectively as part of a team.
