Vocational Specialist

This role involves providing vocational services to adults with mental illness as part of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Vocational specialists will work from various locations, collaborating with community workers to provide career development advice, education, and employment support to participants.
- The successful candidate will adhere to IPS principles when supporting participants.
- They will engage in case management, assisting participants in setting educational and employment goals.
- Vocational specialists will co-design Career Profiles and individual Vocational Plans with participants.
Key responsibilities include:
Establishing relationships with local employers to facilitate suitable job placements for participants.
Supporting participants in applying for jobs and interacting with potential employers.
Collaborating with Centrelink/Disability Employment Services or Workforce Australia providers where necessary.
Providing post-placement support and assistance to participants as required.
The successful applicant will meet specific criteria:
- Completion of relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Experience working with adults who have mental health needs or disabilities.
- Knowledge or experience in employment services, including legislation and labour market trends.
What We Offer:
