Aquatic Operations Manager

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Venue Manager to lead our aquatic operations and services at our leisure centre in North Moreton. As a successful leader, you will have a proven track record in venue operations, marketing, business development, and program management.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall experience for our clients and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational plans to achieve business objectives and improve efficiency.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain a strong relationship with local Council and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Implement a customer-centric approach to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and develop a diverse and passionate team to support the vision and goals of the Centre.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and maintain facilities to approved standards.
About You
You will have a strong background in aquatic operations, marketing, and business development, with a proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
You will have a sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and possess values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect, leadership, and accountability. It is desirable to have experience in aquatic operations and a good understanding of asset management.
Essential Requirements
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check & Police Check)
- Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
- Current CPR
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Pool Operators Certificate
If you do not currently hold the pool LG and Operators certificates, our Belgravia RTO will be happy to assist the successful applicant with obtaining these qualifications.
Desirable Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or experience (2 plus years) in venue management
