About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Associate Aquatic Ecologist to join our Aquatic Environmental Services team in Queensland. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in assessment and management of ecological matters, as well as a proven track record of developing a client base and professional network.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute technical leadership skills in aquatic environmental services and be recognized for specialist knowledge.
- Excellent data analysis skills using multivariate techniques, and proven ability to prepare reports to public review standard.
- Laboratory experience sorting, enumeration, identification, sample preparation, etc.
- Ability to lead and contribute to projects across freshwater and marine environments, achieving timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Experienced in project management, including budgeting, invoice drafting, and client liaison.
- Demonstrated experience preparing aquatic impact assessments and knowledge of appropriate legislation.
- Ability to undertake aquatic/water quality fieldwork in remote areas.
- Co-manage the maintenance, repair, and storage of field gear.
