Clinical team leads in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) play a pivotal role in spearheading multidisciplinary teams within complex community mental health settings.
The position requires delivering high-level guidance, leadership, and strategic management of staff, resources, and services; promoting a culture of continuous improvement and fostering team capability.
Key responsibilities include engaging and managing teams with a recovery-oriented, trauma-focused, and strengths-based approach, encompassing consumer collaboration in care planning.
Negotiating, deciding, and advocating with diverse stakeholders at all organisational levels is also a critical aspect of the role.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary CAMHS team in a complex child and adolescent community mental health setting.
- Provide high-level guidance, leadership, and strategic management of staff, resources, and services; foster a culture of continuous improvement and build team capability.
- Engage and manage teams with a recovery-oriented, trauma-focused, and strengths-based approach, including consumer collaboration in care planning.
- Negotiate, decide, and advocate with a diverse range of stakeholders at all organisational levels.
Travel to other sites within the district may be required. Current NSW Driver's Licence or willingness to travel as required.
Requirements:- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
- Professional qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or Senior Psychology with at least 8 years post-registration experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in management and delivery of healthcare services, particularly in a complex CAMHS setting.
Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills are essential, as well as the ability to interact constructively with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and complete quality improvement and service evaluation activities; application of evidence-based practice in mental health.
Current NSW Driver's License or willingness to travel as required.
