We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health Operations Manager to lead our Public Health Unit in delivering an integrated and effective service.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and senior management to the unit, overseeing operations to ensure delivery of high-quality services. Responsibilities include managing operations, finance, business processes, reporting, accreditation, quality and safety, consumer engagement, work health and safety, and related projects.
The role requires proven experience with leadership at a senior management level in a large and complex organisation. A thorough understanding of healthcare provision and management is essential to improve health outcomes for service consumers.
The ideal candidate will have strong capability in managing human resources, finance, administration, and public health services with strategic planning and evaluation skills. Excellent strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making skills are also required.
- Provide leadership and senior management to the Public Health Unit and oversee its operations to ensure delivery of an integrated and effective service.
- Manage operations, finance, business processes, reporting, accreditation, quality and safety, consumer engagement, work health and safety, and related projects.
- Oversee corporate functions within the unit and manage operational, administrative, and surge or project staff.
- Coordinate logistics and operations of the biosecurity program for airports and seaports.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business administration or management in a health field, or relevant equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience with leadership at a senior management level in a large and complex organisation.
- Thorough understanding of healthcare provision and management to improve health outcomes for service consumers.
- Strong capability in managing human resources, finance, administration, and public health services with strategic planning and evaluation skills.
- Excellent strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making skills.
