Key Responsibilities:

  • Practicing in accordance with nursing standards of practice.
  • Think critically and analyse nursing practice to improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
  • Maintain a high level of capability for practice through ongoing education and training.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to inform patient care.
  • Develop individualised plans for nursing practice that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide safe, appropriate, and responsive quality nursing practice to all patients.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes to inform future nursing practice.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
  • Recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in an endoscopy setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve common goals.
  • Current computer skills and proven ability to use electronic health records and other health information systems.
  • Ability to advocate for and implement person-centred practice that meets the unique needs of each patient.
  • Application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively to meet the demands of the role.
