Data Integration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Integration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions that enable seamless communication between various systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data integration pipelines using Python and associated libraries such as Pandas and GeoPandas
  • Develop real-time and polling interfaces between systems and the RFDS Data Lake
  • SUPPORT DevOps practices, including CI/CD processes and tools, to ensure smooth software delivery
  • Assess and diagnose incidents according to agreed procedures
  • Investigate causes of incidents and seek resolution
  • Escalate unresolved incidents
  • Facilitate recovery, following resolution of incidents
  • Document and close resolved incidents according to agreed procedures
Requirements:
  • Formal qualification in Information Technology or similar field, or equivalent experience
  • High-level communications skills, with demonstrated capability to effectively interact with leaders across the organisation and external stakeholders
  • Experience developing data manipulation solutions in Python, and associate libraries such as Pandas and GeoPandas
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, integration, and mocking
  • Ability and desire to learn new technologies and skills as required
