About the Role

The Hospital Key Account Manager will play a key role in promoting Healius Pathology, one of Australia's leading providers of private medical laboratory and pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including hospital administrators, procurement officers, and department heads.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
  • Create and implement account strategies tailored to the specific needs and goals of each key client.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with key accounts.
  • Monitor and manage contract performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of promotional materials, services aligning with clients' needs.
  • Gather intelligence of target market, provide insights on market changes.
  • Work collaboratively with the local team to achieve shared goals by sharing knowledge, experience, and insights.
  • Attend national and state-based conferences when required.

Requirements

  • Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Science, Healthcare or Business with specialist sales experience.
  • 2+ years working in a similar role.
  • Ability to develop deep insights, uncover market gaps, drive innovation, collaborate and lead.
  • Strong analytical, creative problem-solving skills to manage revenue and budget initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation and strategic skills.
  • Creating and seizing opportunities to expand into new markets.
