Program Manager Role

This community-based health organisation is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and grow its dynamic mental health and wellbeing programs.

About the Opportunity:

The organisation delivers holistic and inclusive health services tailored to the needs of women across the Illawarra. The team is passionate about community impact, and they are looking for a leader who shares their values to oversee a wide portfolio of therapeutic programs—including counselling, case management, crisis intervention and community programs.

As Program Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of trauma-informed programs that support women experiencing domestic and family violence, mental health challenges, and complex life circumstances.

  • Lead strategic delivery of a diverse range of therapeutic services.
  • Provide clinical leadership and risk oversight.
  • Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
  • Drive program innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Foster partnerships with community stakeholders.

You Bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, counselling, social work or related field.
  • Experience in program management and clinical leadership within DFSV services.
  • Strong clinical skills, particularly in trauma, domestic/family violence, and mental health.
  • Deep understanding of feminist principles and gender-informed care.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and marginalised groups.
  • Excellent team leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Training in the Safe and Together Model.
  • Experience in a feminist or not-for-profit environment.
