As a Community Mental Health Clinician, Adult Service, you will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment providing clinical services to individuals with mental illness.
This role involves working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, coordinate care, intervene, liaise and review the service needs of clients referred to the service. You will work closely with clients, their families and carers to develop personalized care plans and provide evidence-based interventions that promote recovery and optimal health outcomes.
Selection Criteria- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with a relevant professional association such as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist are essential. Alternatively, tertiary qualifications for Social Workers, Counsellors or Welfare Officers with eligibility for membership to a relevant professional association may also be considered.
- Experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice is necessary, including conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions to individuals experiencing mental illness.
- A demonstrated understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) is required.
- Understanding of the concept and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery is crucial, along with experience and skills using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to the care of mental health consumers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to engage and collaborate with clients, their families and carers, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in computer literacy is also essential.
