Job Title: Aboriginal Child Welfare Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to work with vulnerable children, young people, and their families in the New England region.

This role offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of Indigenous Australians.

You will work collaboratively with parents, family members, children, or young people to ensure their safety and well-being.

  • Develop and implement safety plans and conduct thorough risk assessments
  • Manage complex cases and situations, including working with high-needs and high-risk clients and their families
  • Participate in court processes, including preparing court documents and attending court proceedings
Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma or degree qualification in a relevant field (preferred)
  • Minimum two years' experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
