Job Role Summary

Caseworkers play a pivotal role in safeguarding the welfare and rights of children and young people within a multi-disciplinary service framework.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential harm to children and young people.
  • Engage in collaborative practice that respects the unique needs and circumstances of each child, young person, and their family/carers.
  • Gather accurate and comprehensive information to inform evidence-based decision-making in line with the child/young person's safety, well-being, and best interests.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in frontline child protection services or investigation services.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written abilities, and the capacity to build strong working relationships.
  • A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a current paid working with children clearance number.
