Safety People is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to support their team in Regional Queensland. This role is key to fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring WHS compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the Safety & Wellness WHS Plan and meet key targets.
  • Work with teams to boost safety engagement and compliance.
  • Develop safety programs that empower workers to make a difference.
  • Assist in incident investigations and drive timely outcomes.
  • Mentor Health and Safety Reps and provide internal training.
  • Promote hazard identification and manage risks effectively.
  • Contribute to improving the safety management system.
  • Support strategic planning with a focus on safety.
  • Build a strong safety culture and deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Help managers take charge of safety in their areas.
Requirements:
  • Solid experience in high-risk environments with a record of improving safety.
  • Min. Cert IV in WHS or related qualification.
  • At least 3 years in Health and Safety, with strong knowledge of QLD WHS laws.
  • Skilled in incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Great communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
  • QLD C class provisional driver's licence.
Desirable:

Experience in local government or specific safety certifications.
