Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with the Director of Anaesthesia to ensure the delivery of top-tier Anaesthesia services, prioritizing safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Deliver comprehensive Anaesthesia services, adhering to best practices and established guidelines.
- Conduct ward rounds for acute pain management, pre-anaesthetic assessments, and provide anaesthesia for various surgical procedures.
- Participate in the on-call roster for after-hours and weekend duties.
- This position may require providing anaesthesia support to nearby facilities as needed.
About the Facility
The hospital is a well-equipped 305-bed institution serving as the main referral center for the region, now offering integrated cancer care services in a newly developed facility featuring advanced medical technology.
The Anaesthesia department is equipped with four operating theatres and two procedure rooms, supported by an 8-bed ICU/HDU. The department is recognized for specialist training and actively engages in teaching and research initiatives.
The Anaesthesia team provides exemplary care across various specialties, including obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics, and more. The department also conducts preadmission clinics and acute pain management rounds.
Qualifications
Candidates must be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the relevant medical board and hold a Fellowship from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or an equivalent qualification from recognized training programs in other countries.
