We are seeking individuals with a strong professional background in Exercise Physiology to join our team in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Sydney Metro area.

We offer a diverse and flexible role that allows you to manage your own day while being part of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

This role stands out as you will also have the opportunity to deliver some of our innovative services, including our pain education Re-thinking Recovery program.

The program uses virtual reality and modern pain science to help people understand pain and re-train their brain and body. You will work collaboratively with the entire treating team to ensure that the service is focused on the client.

Duties of the Role
  • Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline-specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments;
  • Delivering our innovative virtual reality pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology and registration with ESSA;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion and kindness are essential in this role, as is empathy;
  • Well-developed time management skills are necessary to manage your caseload effectively;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to your own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
