Key Responsibilities:


We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at IPAR. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Case management: you will work closely with clients to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans that cater to their unique needs and goals.
  • Applying your clinical knowledge: you will use your expertise to improve return to work outcomes for clients and provide education and support to employers and employees.
  • Working with employers and employees: you will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Working across various schemes: you will work with clients who are covered by various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.

Requirements:



  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology: you must hold a relevant degree and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or have SIRA accreditation.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation: while not essential, it is highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills: excellent communication skills are crucial for building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion and kindness: empathy and a caring attitude are essential for providing high-quality services to clients.
  • Well-developed time management skills: you must be able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a car with comprehensive insurance: this is a must for traveling to client meetings and work sites.
