Expert Diagnostic Practitioner

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist role requires a broad range of competencies for safe, independent practice. This includes promoting medical imaging services to external private referrers and communicating urgent or unexpected results to consultants by appropriate means.
Key Responsibilities- Actively promote medical imaging services to external private referrers.
- Communicate urgent or unexpected results directly to the responsible consultant.
- Participate in on-call and weekend roster duties.
- Lead clinical meetings, discrepancy meetings, journal clubs, and registrar educational meetings.
- Provide formal teaching and supervision to radiology interns, registrars, and fellows.
- A Medical Degree from a recognized medical school is required.
- RANZCR or RACP Fellowship is essential.
- Registration with AHPRA is necessary.
- Good standing with a Medical Defence Organisation is expected.
- A Radiation Use Licence is also required.
Our diagnostic imaging department provides diagnostic and interventional imaging services to inpatients and outpatients.
