About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative mental health professional to lead our Acute Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will manage the First Floor, 22-bed unit, including coordinating the day-to-day operational needs of the service at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.

  • Provide leadership and management to a large team of nurses and allied health professionals

  • Enhance the provision of care and outcomes for consumers

About the Team

Our Acute Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service provides high-quality services across an adult area mental health service for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara. We utilise the Strengths Model & Recovery Oriented Framework for mental health services, which is embedded across all parts of the service.

The service comprises a 44-bed Acute Inpatient Service (AIS) located on the St. Vincent's Hospital Fitzroy site, as well as community mental health services, including Hawthorn and Clarendon clinics. We also boast state-wide services such as NEXUS Dual Diagnosis Advisory Service, Victorian Dual Disability Service, and the Victorian Transcultural Mental Health service.

About the Salary

The salary for this position will be approximately $126,885 per annum pro rata, based on classification RPN Grade 5 NP51.
