Aboriginal Youth Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Clinician to join our team addressing the health needs of young people released from custody to the community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with experience in providing care to Aboriginal young people and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating post-release care, developing partnerships with community services, and implementing strategies to improve outcomes for this vulnerable population.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field, have demonstrated experience working with adolescents and their families, and have a strong understanding of adolescent development issues affecting health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate post-release care for young people with mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues by establishing partnerships with community services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for Aboriginal young people and their families.
- Provide clinical care and support to young people and their families.
Requirements:
- Person of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field (including Health Science).
- Demonstrated recent experience working with Aboriginal young people and their families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development issues affecting health.
- Current unrestricted NSW drivers license and willingness to travel.
