Aboriginal Mental Health Care Coordinator

Job Description:
">This role is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, addressing the health needs of young people released from custody to the community. The position holder will work within the justice system to improve knowledge, skills and confidence in working with Aboriginal people accessing mental health and/or drug and alcohol services.
">A Bachelor degree or higher level relative to the role (including Bachelor Health Science for Djirruwang Program graduates).">Co-ordinating post release care of young people with mental health and/or problematic drug and alcohol issues by establishing strong partnerships with community mental health and/or drug and alcohol services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS), General Practitioners (GP's), Non-Government Organisations (NGO) and youth services.">Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia.">Valid NSW Employee Working With Children Check">
">You must take all reasonable care for yourself and others and comply with any reasonable instruction, policies and procedures relating to work health, safety and wellbeing.">">The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.">A strong understanding of adolescent development issues affecting adolescent health is also required.">The successful candidate will have experience in providing clinical care to Aboriginal young people, families and communities across NSW with significant mental health and/or drug and alcohol concerns.">">A demonstrated commitment to cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly in relation to Aboriginal culture and the importance of reconciliation.">">Benefits:
