Our organization is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support to residents in our long-term care facility.
About the Role:As a Personal Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence and enhance overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
- Assist residents with mobility issues, including walking and transfers.
- Engage with residents through conversation, games, and other activities.
- Certificate of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent experience.
- Ability to accept direction and follow established procedures.
- Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position.
- Geriatric, long-term care experience beneficial.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A supportive and collaborative work environment.
