Mental Health Therapist Opportunity

Seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team, providing high-quality counseling services to clients with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including counseling, case management, and group work. You will be working with clients who are experiencing mental health challenges, trauma, family violence, and relationship issues, with a particular focus on marginalized communities.
Your duties will include:
- Providing clients with support and strategies to manage grief and loss related to mental health challenges.
- Offering casework, referral, and advocacy services to enhance the therapeutic work and address gaps in service provision.
- Delivering services that are sensitive to each client's cultural background and beliefs.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based and best practice approaches in mental health therapy.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Postgraduate Counseling or Social Work, with eligibility for membership of AASW, PACFA, or ACA.
- A minimum of two years' experience in providing high-standard, evidence-based short-term to medium-term counseling services for vulnerable populations.
- Victorian Driver's License.
