Job Role: Inclusion Support Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and caring Inclusion Support Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our early childhood education program, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional care needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to children, enabling them to participate fully in our nursery program. This may involve developing and implementing tailored plans to meet their unique needs.

In collaboration with our experienced educators, you will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

You will also engage with families, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns they may have.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to children with additional care needs
  • Develop and implement tailored plans to meet each child's unique needs
  • Collaborate with educators to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with families about their child's progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification
  • An understanding of the National Quality Framework and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
  • A current Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate
  • Awareness of cultural diversity and ability to work with families from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and write reports
