Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our ward's clinical policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have current registration with AHPRA, 2+ years' experience working in an acute setting, and a strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care. You will also possess highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing the needs of older adults and their families.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Contribute to the development of our ward's clinical policies and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
- Participate in continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research and clinical guidelines.
- Essential Qualifications:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- 2+ years' experience working in an acute setting, preferably in a geriatric or palliative care environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in gerontological nursing, including knowledge of older adult physiology and pathophysiology.
