Aboriginal Community Liaison Specialist

The Aboriginal Family Support Worker provides a liaison and support service to children and their families attending Head to Health Kids.
This role is responsible for cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients ensuring the coordination and facilitation of child and family appointments and follow-ups.
The position works collaboratively with a Case Worker under a bi-cultural pair model.
Key Responsibilities- Provide culturally sensitive support to Aboriginal children and families
- Coordinate and facilitate appointments and follow-ups
- Work collaboratively with a Case Worker in a bi-cultural pair model
- Identify as an Aboriginal person and be recognised by the Aboriginal community
- Excellent communication skills in a cross-cultural environment
- Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal children and families
- A current Driver's Licence
