About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at Wurli Wurlijang, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing patient care plans, and collaborating with other health professionals to deliver effective health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the effective management of patient care plan systems, including participating in patient care conferences and managing patient follow-up procedures.
  • Use patient information systems to identify care needs and document patient consultations in patient medical files.
  • Assist doctors and other health professionals with communication, treatment, and advice relevant to a client's treatment.
  • Assist in the provision of high-quality emergency care, which may be independent or with support from other health professionals.
  • Actively encourage client/family/community to engage in practices conducive to optimising health.
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • More than five years' experience in Clinical Nursing Practice.
  • Current National Police Certificate (no less than 3 months from issue date).
  • Current Northern Territory Driver's Licence.
  • Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card).

About Katherine

Katherine is a well-equipped regional town with a shopping centre featuring a supermarket and many specialty shops. With a population of around 11,000, the population of the region is just over 24,000 people, of which 60% identify as Indigenous. Katherine is on the edge of Kakadu National Park, which is filled with some of the world's best waterfalls and bush walks.
