This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is accountable for operational leadership, ensuring the University's Council and Executive meet governance and reporting obligations regarding risk management, compliance, and audit functions.

The role involves integrating risk management, compliance, business continuity, and resilience processes within the University's operations. Frameworks promote appropriate behaviors and improve controls through effective monitoring, including data analytics.

As part of the Corporate Services leadership team, this position contributes to the University's mission, vision, and strategic objectives, while upholding our values-based culture.

About You

To be successful, you will have extensive experience working in risk, compliance, and audit for large complex organizations, with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders. Your ability to engage and translate strategy into actionable solutions is essential.

In addition to relevant qualifications, you will possess strong critical thinking skills, backed by decisive judgment, with a deep understanding of the university environment's complexity and diversity.

This role requires a self-starter who can lead, guide, and coordinate multidisciplinary staff to create an engaged high-performing team and establish credibility for the function. As a people-centric collaborator, your leadership will empower your team and foster a culture of support and development.
