Pre-natal Child Safety Specialist

About This Role:
">We are seeking a skilled Pre-natal Child Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our unit, you will be responsible for working with expectant parents to identify and address safety and risk concerns for children following their birth.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with families, colleagues, and community partners">
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement case plans">
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and investigations to identify safety and risk concerns">
- Provide education and support to families on pregnancy, parenting, and child development">
- Facilitate Pregnancy Family Conferences to promote collaboration and shared decision-making">
- Develop and implement safety plans to mitigate risks and ensure child safety">
- Manage complex casework and situations, including high-risk clients and their families">
- Prepare court documents and represent the organization in court proceedings">
Requirements:
">- ">
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare, or related field">
- Experience working in child protection, preferably in a pre-natal or post-natal capacity">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team">
- Valid driver's license and paid Working with Children clearance">
