Role Overview

The role of a Child Protection Counsellor entails providing specialist care and support to families experiencing child protection concerns.

  • To achieve this, the ideal candidate will provide therapy and support to vulnerable families to promote healing and recovery from trauma.
  • The Child Protection Counsellor will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance child safety and strengthen parenting capacity.
  • This includes developing and implementing tailored plans to support families in achieving their goals and improving outcomes for children.

The successful applicant will possess a strong therapeutic background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with at-risk populations.

They should be able to work independently while feeling supported by a collaborative team environment.

This is a temporary full-time position until December 2025, but part-time/job share arrangements or secondments may also be considered.
