Job Summary:
The Master Wine Professional is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive wine program that drives sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accountability for the overall direction of the wine program
- Leading the team to achieve world-class performance in sales, service, and product knowledge
- Working closely with management to manage cellar inventory, wine lists, and customer relationships
- Developing and executing strategies to increase minimum spends per head
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and sales initiatives
- Ensuring high standards of beverage and food quality
- Participating in relevant committees to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Managing wage and beverage costs within targeted parameters
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Current certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction
