Director of Laboratory Operations

The Chief Microbiologist will lead and oversee departmental testing and operations, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment in the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Manage staff numbers and allocate resources to optimize laboratory performance and support clinical needs.
- Prepare and submit recommendations for capital expenditure and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 6 years' experience as a senior scientist in a related field, with exposure across pathology.
- Minimum 2 years in a senior supervisory role, with management of rosters, KPIs, turnaround times, and performance management.
