Job Title: Quality Assurance Director
DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Director oversees laboratory operations, directing the activities of QC Technicians. This role involves strategic planning, goal setting, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety and Compliance: Develop and maintain SQF 2000 programs for Food Safety and Food Quality functions.
- Laboratory Operations: Supervise and direct laboratory staff, ensuring all operations meet quality standards.
- Supply Chain Management: Maintain product inventory, monitor shipment to customers, and ensure compliance with established government, customer, and company standards.
- Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and processes.
- Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate laboratory records for production items through shelf life or federal/state regulation requirements.
- Training and Development: Provide training and coaching to laboratory staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
This role requires a degree in a relevant field (e.g., food science, chemistry), strong leadership skills, and experience in quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing laboratory operations, developing and implementing quality systems, and leading cross-functional teams.
Additional InformationThis is a senior-level position that reports directly to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth.
