Transport Care SpecialistAbout Us:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transport Care Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide safe and timely transportation for patients attending appointments.
- Assist patients in and out of vehicles, including wheelchair-capable transport.
- Follow clinical care directions from senior team members.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to ensure timely responses.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness, stock, and equipment.
- Submit accurate patient records and other documentation.
- Report hazards or incidents and follow safety protocols.
- Uphold organizational values and contribute to team culture.
About You:
You will be a self-motivated team player who can work independently and collaboratively. Your caring and empathetic nature will support patients with dignity and respect.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current First Aid certification and resuscitation training.
- Hold an unrestricted driver's license and drive safely and responsibly.
- Have a current Working with Children check (or willing to obtain one).
- A national police clearance to be obtained prior to commencement and renewed every three years.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Vaccination as per government guidelines for healthcare workers.
- Physically fit to provide patient transport services.
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
