Bread Baker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our team.

  • Preparing and baking sour dough bread loaves, baguettes, rolls.
  • Preparing viennoiserie, pastries inclusive of glazing pastries.
  • Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough.
  • Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.
  • Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.
  • Operating machines which roll and mould dough.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations for operation of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant role and possess excellent baking skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bread Preparation: Preparing and baking sour dough bread loaves, baguettes, rolls.
  • Viennoiserie and Pastries: Preparing viennoiserie, pastries inclusive of glazing pastries.
  • Dough Manipulation: Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough.
  • Oven Management: Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.
  • Product Coordination: Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.
  • Machinery Operation: Operating machines which roll and mould dough.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations for operation of equipment.

Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in a relevant role, excellent baking skills.
